“There was this day, we found each other and promised to love till death.
Our love will drive all fear; we would love till the last breath”
He phrased on an evening, walking beside his girl.
Ignoring her caprice, trying hard to make her mind twirl.
He knew no boundary, only she was his end,
She was overbearing yet her love was true.
She would cry inside but outwardly she would pretend.
Her mind was tormenting her heart, filling it like a dope
The thought penetrated her heart so deep, it would be wrong to annex his hope,
She could not live without him, she knew quite well.
She could not go on like that, keeping him under the spell.
She was a rajput and the boy was in Shudras up brought.
Her parents would disown her, she wept as she thought.
They were made for each other, everyone would say,
Sad to see, the social evil still had a stay.
The boy got down on his knees that day.
Her quietude told him all, she did not need to say.
They parted the very day,
He wanted to spare her the blot,
The conservative section could not be faced,
Unless it’s rules were bought.
Their love was true as it never ended.
They took the road to heavens without making anyone offended.
He knows not what caste, what place we belong.
He ranks us for our deeds,
Why to care of what the fellow-humans read of you?
Or what inferences they draw?
The almighty cares for all our needs.
There was a day, they found each other and promised to love till death.
Their love drove all fear; they loved till the last breath.
